Buyer’s Stress
Purchasing a home can be an unnerving experience. Avoid as much additional stress until after you close, and keep distractions to a minimum during this major transaction. Set a strict budget and stick, and don’t rush through the process. Hurrying will make you susceptible to buyer’s remorse. This is likely to be the biggest purchase you will ever make, so take your time!
Hire a capable and patient real estate professional. An offer contingent upon a mortgage approval or other will mire the process, so do as much advanced legwork as possible. Ask relatives for reassurance and emotional support, but know that conflicting advice from loved ones will slow you down.
